Expected Course Rotation for Creative Writing
2010-2012


This information may be useful to you as you plan your course schedule. However, changes do occur in the curriculum, so this information should be used only as a guide, and you should consult with your advisor when planning your courses. 

In general, beginning fiction, nonfiction, and poetry workshops are offered EVERY semester. Journalism is also offered EVERY semester. Other special beginning workshops (feature writing, the literary novel, writing for children and young adults and screenwriting, are offered alternately so that they appear in the schedule once in every four semesters. Advanced workshops are offered two semesters on, then one off. ENG 293, 267 and 291 are contemporary literature courses in nonfiction, fiction and poetry. These courses alternate in the schedule so that they appear once in every three semesters.
