Women's volleyball falls to Worcester St.
The University of Maine at Farmington women's volleyball dropped a 3-1 (21-25, 25-20, 25-21, 25-14) decision to Worcester State College in the opening day of the UMF Invitational tonight.
In other opening day action, Thomas College blanked Massachusetts Maritime Academy 3-0 (25-8, 25-11, 25-8). Action is scheduled to continue on Saturday with Farmington vs. Thomas and Worcester St. vs. Mass. Maritime at 10 a.m. and Farmington vs. Mass. Maritime and Thomas vs. Worcester St. at noon. Story

Golf sits fourth at NAC championships
The University of Maine at Farmington golf team stands in fourth place after the opening round of the North Atlantic Conference Golf Championships today at Rutland Country Club.
Husson University leads the field at 319 followed closely by host Castleton State College (320) with Maine Maritime Academy (342) and Farmington (345) in third and fourth, respectively. Nick Waltz (Damariscotta, ME) led the Beavers with an 81. Results

Women's soccer rolls by Becker
The University of Maine at Farmington women's soccer team blanked Becker College 4-0 in non-conference action today.
Jennifer Richter (Lamoine, ME), Julie Walters (Wells, ME) and Amber Murphy (Manchester, NH) each scored a goal in the victory for the Beavers, who also benefited from an own goal. Farmington (4-4) is scheduled to host Johnson State College in North Atlantic Conference action on Saturday. Story

Field hockey falls to No. 1 Bowdoin
The University of Maine at Farmington field hockey team fell to No. 1 Bowdoin College 3-0 in non-conference play at Howard F. Ryan Field today.
Kaeleigh Barker (Chichester, NH) recorded 14 saves for the Beavers, who slipped to 6-5 on the season and are slated to travel to the University of New England on Tuesday. Story

Men's soccer loses at Colby
The University of Maine at Farmington men's soccer team suffered a 4-0 setback to Colby College in non-conference action today.
Matthew Dennett (Augusta, ME) made 10 stops for the Beavers, who dropped to 3-5 on the season and are scheduled to host North Atlantic Conference foes Johnson State College Saturday and Lyndon State College Sunday. Story

Tyler honored as NAC Player of the Week
Senior forward Andrea Tyler (Augusta, ME) was named the North Atlantic Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week as announced by the conference today.
Tyler netted a pair of goals in the Beavers' 2-0 win over St. Joseph's in NAC action on Saturday. Tyler spearheaded an offense that outshot the Monks 21-12. She is the third straight Beaver to receive the award as sophomore midfielder Emma Deans (Gorham, ME) and senior netminder Kaeleigh Barker (Chichester, NH) were honored the past two weeks. Story
